What is the purpose of TAP?

To provide newly hired and promoted leaders at all levels with a world class on-boarding experience so that they feel invested in their company immediately.

 

What is the process? And, how long does it take?

TAP is a 90 day (sometimes longer upon request) facilitated process. Participants apply transition best practices including receiving hiring manager expectations immediately, choosing the right early wins and building and implementing plans that are clearly aligned with company goals.

 

Is the process only for senior leaders?

No. TAP is highly adaptable for leaders at all levels and key individual contributors as well.

 

Why would a company use an outside facilitator to on-board new hires?

TAP facilitators are uniquely qualified to provide input and feedback in choosing the right “early wins” that spell success while highlighting the “derailers” that cause well qualified (and intentioned) new leaders to fail.

 

What is the hiring manager’s role in TAP as opposed to traditional on-boarding?

The hiring manager’s role is even more critical in TAP than it is in traditional on-boarding. The TAP facilitator is a resource for the hiring manager. TAP provides managers with learning, coaching, templates and tools designed to develop their skills in talent management and retention.
